Hey - is the MacUpdate site a scam?

They've posted a "June Bundle" which has some very nice stuff, for very little money.

Look here:
http://www.mupromo.com/

I've always been told - if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't

Maybe I'm just paranoid / sceptical - although it does look legitimate

Thoughts / experiences ?

Not a scam. MacUpdate and its promo site have been around a long time. I've used it in the past.

Legit offer and good value if you require/want the software.

Thanks :) May just treat myself to the bundle...

Parallels is typically considered one of the better VMs on OSX right?

I have purchased from MU in the past, and it is generally a good deal. I loaded everything that they offered into my iMac, but found that most of them I just do not use.

If I was buying it again... I think I would just load the few applications that I really want. I prefer an uncluttered system... and generally prefer to have a few great programs, rather than lots of crap.

Likewise... when I dine out, I prefer a great restaurant with a first class menu... rather than an all you can eat buffet filled with massive quantities of mediocre food.
