There will be some new CPUs 133 MHz faster than the existing ones they replace in Q1 2009.

The first MacBook Pro has had two speed bumps in February and May.

However, Intel CPU speed bumps have not translated to Apple product speed bumps.

I think it's the desktops that will get the upgrades

I can't see them upgrading the macbooks seens as they have just been released.

May see a new 17' macbook pro in the Unibody design

Duff-Man says.....sheesh...there have been several threads asking the very same question in just the last couple days.....SEARCH before creating yet another one....oh yeah!

Now that Apple ditched Macworld, they can release new and/or upgraded products when they please. No need to bunch them all up in to pre-set dates.

I am hopeful for a MBA update. One with a glass display, glass trackpad, 2 GHz CPU, 4 GB RAM, and why not throw in a 256 GB SSD.

Oh, perhaps I am dreaming... but that is what I am waiting for.

To the other note, yes it will be nice when Apple just releases new products and updates with their own press conferences. I really like the whole deal when Steve talks to the press and shows off the new stuff. It's fun. And we will probably see them more like once per quarter...
