Macworld Asia 9-22 possible announcement date?

Is it possible that Apple will decide to announce the iPhone during the MacWorld Asia Expo this coming week? Granted they probably would want to announce it in the US considering Apple is a US company and all previous portable devices have been announce in the US.

I thought apple stopped presenting at macworld, but who knows? Maybe they'll make an announcement this year at macworld, I'm not counting on it though.

Yup. They stopped doing Macworld expos back in '08 or '09 I think. That way they can schedule their own product launches and not have a deadline based on a planned expo.
