Just came across this ad on Craigslist and thought it might be of interest to our Bay Area members:

We are seeking energetic people to promote Elgato Systems' products during the Macworld Expo trade show in San Francisco, from January 10, 2006 to January 13, 2006, 8 hours per day. We offer competitive pay.

This is a great opportunity for university students to earn some extra income before the spring term and gain some experience in the world of technology for the consumer market.

At Macworld Expo you will play a key role in presenting the Elgato product line. You will interact directly with potential customers, answer any questions, and sell our new products.

In preparation of the trade show, you will be expected to attend two paid 5 hour training sessions at our office in San Francisco during the months of December and the first week of January. The training is necessary for you to know the products well, and also for you to gain familiarity with the company and its marketing goals for the trade show.
Ideal candidates will be

- outgoing and have positive energy
- professional appearance
- on time and reliable
- a team player

and have Macintosh experience as well as strong communication skills.

No, I don't work for Elgato (or craigslist).

Too bad I don't live in one of the bigger cities where this kind of thing is needed. I consider myself pretty good with interacting people. With a pretty firm background with the UI in Mac OS I would be fairly good at this. Now sure if you have to be 18 or not to do this, but if I lived in San Francisco I would certainly check this out.

Interesting... thanks for posting that.

Hmm-- professional appearance, eh? I don't know, assuming they'd even want me for the job, 'frisco is a bit outta the way for me still. :p

Go, take pics, and ditch the booth for they keynote!! :D

San Francisco isn't THAT far away.. you're closer than I am. :p

I'd jump at it if I didn't already have a well-paying (by college standards) job.

If any of my Bay Area MacRumors brethren do get the job, let us know! I'll be at MWSF regardless.
