Bit of an odd question I know.
I've been using MacX Dvd Ripper Pro to make a full backup of some of my DVD's and then using Handbrake on those files, using the AppleTV2 preset.

Why? Well, I've got the James Bond collection and it was taking up at least 132GB of space for all 22 movies, and I wanted to save space but preserve some quality.

I've noticed MacX Dvd Ripper Pro has the option to rip to mp4, and I was wondering if anyone knew what preset (or custom options) matches as closely as possible to Handbrake's AppleTV2 preset.

The idea being that I skip the step of making a complete copy of the DVD and then converting it to simply ripping to mp4. I obviously cannot do this directly with handbrake due to the copy protection on the DVD's

Thank you very much! I shall give that a try. I had not thought to use that method as I'd assumed that Handbrake would refuse due to it not decoding CSS.

Just given it a try and it's worked perfectly! Obviously it might not do it for the very latest stuff, in which case I'd use my old method, but trying this step first will save me quite a bit of time.

Once again, thank you!
