That might work over there but not here in Australia. A friend of mine bought a MB the day before the new one's were released and when he took it back Apple said they would not exchange it as it's buyer's remorse. They said that policy only exists in other countries not here in Australia.

Wow.. so Australia dont have the 14days return policy?? That sucks..
 
Erm...paying $200 or more to Apple for an RMA means they've got your wallet, not your back.

The operative sentence in that policy you linked to is
If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we exchange it or offer you a refund based on your original method of payment.

As I said Apple will not exchange your MBP here in Australia unless there is a serious problem with it (and that is after they have inspected it for up to 2 weeks and deem it so) or if you have not opened the packaging at all.
