I am looking to buy a new gaming mouse as I am quite frustrated with Razer's poorly made drivers (Synapse 2.0) and that fact that their software updates are just useless.

So I found that Mad Catz makes gaming mouses for mac too. But before pulling the trigger, I want to make sure that the drivers are going to work fine under mac.

Anything in particular you're looking for? I have a R.A.T 7 on my gaming PC, I could plug it into my MBP if there's something specific you're looking to test. Obviously I won't have the same games as you do though.

I'm just interested wether the mac driver for the RAT 7 is stable or not. I want to make sure if the RAT 7 will have all it's functions available on mac just like on windows and that the mouse settings and macros won't disappear for no reason after a reboot.

If you ever tried to use a Razer Synapse 2.0 driver on a mac, you should know what I'm talking about:)

I've been using the rat7 for the last couple months and it works great, have had zero issues with the drivers and software unlike my razer keyboard. You'll get weird looks from visitors who haven't seen it before but otherwise the mouse works great.
