Hey Guys,

I recently got the new iPad. I wanted a smart cover but with a little more protection so I bought one of the Invision Smart cover cases, see link below

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294

On buying this I have discovered that it does not offer as much protection as i'd like and also the build quality of this is quite poor - yes it cheap so I should of expected this really. This iPad will mostly be used in the house but I would like a case that offers some more protection if I do decide to take it out.

I mostly use my iPad 1 to take to work and when out and about which is in a folio style case and was wondering if you could recommend one similar to this?

Thanks for any input I just want to keep it in pristine condition like my 1st gen iPad,

Mike... :)

I've just bought one too. Lots of good reviews, but the magnets really do suck.

The back of the case and corners seems pretty protected for normal use (I have a pouch for carrying it to other locations in my bag etc) but the 'smart cover' bit is a bit naff. It's great as a stand (both flat and upright) and it turns on my iPad 2 easily enough, but just doesn't stick enough to the screen with the magnets they've used.

I'm thinking of picking up one of these two instead now... what do you think?

I purchased a similar "smart cover like" case on eBay. Looks very similar to the original but seems a little thin. Magnet also seems a little weak but i only paid $10

you should check craigslist! purchased two leather smart covers perfect condition, $15 for one $20 for the other. Saw plenty of the the polyurethane for $10-15. That was here in austin tx. maybe youll have luck

From what I have read on the Internet I think there's 2 versions of this case. Because some of the magnets are weak or don't work at all and some are perfect like mine. I have no complaints apart from the inside lining of the Smartcover could be of a higher quality thickness or suede\nubuck.
