Ordered direct from Apple through the Verizon trade in promotion. However, I accidentally selected the wrong phone that I would like to trade in. Is there a risk if I cancel the order and reorder selecting the right phone? There were several Verizon agreements that I had to approve, but I didn’t know if it triggered my eligibility for the promo or something and won’t be reset until a long time from now.

If you have the ability to cancel, do it now. Carrier Agreements do not to take effect until the phone is delivered.

You might as well cancel the order now to avoid trouble and wait for a month or so to get the iPhone you truly want.

I'd call Verizon let them know that you chose the wrong phone on your trade in selection. To see if you can correct the phone model you're trading in. For an updated trade in quote.

No matter what the representative says. It means nothing without a confirmation number and an e-mail with an updated quote.

That or cancel the trade in credit. Just sell the old phone locally.
