first off I admit my mistake in buying this, I just recently won an iphone 5s on ebay, and upon looking closer, notice it is the a1530 version for aisa pacific.

I am in the USA and am concerned this will not work here.

I have not paid for the item yet, I contacted the seller about this, aplologizing for my error and asking if they would cancel the sale.

so I am now awaiting for their reply, and so far, no reply, I assume they will eventually get my messages to find out why I have not paid yet.

I looked up ebay policy on this, and I have done what it suggested, contacting the seller.

so what do I do if the seller does not respond? I would think they will when they contact me about paying.

yeah that is what I am doing now, just waiting and not paying, I fear they will not respond, open a case against me, or leave negative feedback, or nothing they never respond, and I get a non paying incident on my record.

is there anything else I can do? what if they never respond?

eBay will contact you at least 3 times before that ever happens.

Just explain you bought in error.

I've never had to go down this route, but I've heard quite a few times that eBay tends to side with the buyer and eBay also seems to have loosened their policy a bit so that one of these kinds of incidents isn't as bad as it used to be.

Good luck.

Next time understand and read the description and know what your buying. If you're not sure ask the seller before you bid or purchase the item.
A negative comment is better than paying for a useless device.

So... You made a mistake, and now you're not honoring your commitment to buy, and making it worse by not even coming clean to the seller?
I suggest you contact the seller and eBay and explain the situation.

Did you even read his whole post? He did come clean and contacted the seller, he just has not received an answer yet.

The seller will likely respond quickly. He gets his eBay fees back and can relist the item a lot faster by responding to you and sending the cancellation request than waiting 8 days to do an unpaid item request. You're fine, just wait for the response.

well that worked out, the seller canceled the sale, I will know better next time.
