Made to order configurations?

I placed a custom order for macbook pro retina display online on Friday and I noticed that they charged my debit card 2 days after order but it's not shipped out. Does that mean my computer is ready to ship soon? Or laptops get charged before shipping unlike other apple products?

Shipping estimate isn't until oct 11. So excited to get my computer!

I didn't think they charged until it was ready to ship, although their terms may be different for BTO models.

Yes that's what I thought. I def have 3k deducted from my checking account.
