Magic Jack help?

I just got my new 27" iMac last week. I also have the magic jack. My only problem with this is that I have to keep the app open at all times to receive calls. My computer goes to sleep after 20 minutes. Then when I push the mouse to wake it, i get a message that is wasn't ejected correctly. Does it automatically eject all ports when it goes to sleep or is there some setting I can change?

System Preferences/Energy Saver

Put Computer to sleep = Never

I know I can change it to not sleep, but I was wandering if every time it goes to sleep, does it always eject it?
