I recently replaced an ancient iPad with an iPad 2025 A16. Primary use is consumption, as I also have a 13" MBA, so no desire to spend a lot on a keyboard case.
My old lightning Magic Keyboard A1677 no longer holds a charge, but I was pleased to find out it works great as a wired keyboard with a USB-C to lightning cable with the iPad. A nice and compact companion to pack with my iPad and ESR magnetic cover, if I know I may want to smash through some emails, and free to me as it was sat unused. Takes power from the iPad so no worries about keeping it charged.
I couldn't see this posted elsewhere and it it may be obvious/known to many, but thought worth a post.
