I was beginning to think my magic keyboard was faulty as the caps lock doesn’t appear to register all of the time if I press it quickly.

I have googled it and on the standard Apple keyboards Apple seems to put a delay on the caps lock for some reason. Could someone please check yours and confirm if your magic Keyboard has this feature and if their is a way to turn it off, or if mine is actually faulty?

If you could try tapping it quickly then press and hold and see if you can notice a millisecond delay it would be greatly appreciated

This is a long-standing Apple feature to prevent accidentally pressing Caps Lock, and it's the same way on the Magic Keyboard.

As the post above says, this is normal behavior in Apple keyboards.
