Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, getting updated, compatibility with upcoming 2022 iPad

Is the current Magic Keyboard for iPad likely to get updated this year? I am considering getting one for my iPad Pro 11" that I would like to also upgrade this year. But, if the keyboard is going to be updated and not compatible with the 2022 upcoming iPad, I would maybe hold off. Thoughts on this? I can't believe these things are still $300.

Nobody knows but there will be some upset people if it does because those are not cheap accessories.

Rumor/patents show Apple may have a new accessory as to enable some type of iPadOS desktop mode similar to Samsungs Dex but it’s all rumors. If Apple did add this type of functionality they would likely make a new accessory in order to not alienate current MK owners and sell even MORE stuff. The best think would be not needing a new accessory but that ain’t Apple.
