I was typing a post on my iPad/Magic keyboard, and something happened.
You know when you call up the screen keyboard on an iPad, there's a bar at the top that shows word auto-complete, alt words, and a few other things? Somehow I triggered that, the bar came up but NOT the on-screen keyboard. It wouldn't let me use the spacebar on my MK, and I couldn't get rid of it (tried clicking a few things, swiping in different ways, etc.). Finally, I went to hit the "Escape" key, but the MK doesn't have one! I ended up pulling the iPad off the MK and cycling power. That got rid of it.
I think that bar popping up was just a random bug, but does anyone know a key combo that simulated the "Escape" key, for the MK? TIA

You can remap one key for acting as an “escape key”.

I did this with the language key (the one with a globe icon).
Just go to iOS Settings and search for modifier keys.
