no, it just works like normal. if you have a keyboard connected, no on screen keyboard will appear, but when you don’t have a keyboard connected you’ll get it.So, if you turn off the on-screen keyboard, what happens when you use the iPad without a case or with the original Apple folio. Do you have to remember to turn it back on?

Have this issue sometimes and fast way of fixing it is turning bluebooth off and then back on.Well unfortunately on my iPad sometimes, even when I pull it off the MK the virtual won’t come up. It only fails on a sporadic basis. Thanks for the help!
