I have a 14" M1 MBP that I run in clamshell mode. I recently brought a Magic Keyboard with TouchID and love it when it works. But if I let my Mac go to sleep, 90% of the time TouchID won't wake it.

I've tried everything I can to fix it.

Does this work for others and I have a defective keyboard? Mine is going back, I just need to know if I should try again or give up on the Magic Keyboards.

To explain your situation if it Bluetooth or the keyboard itself! does it wake up buy using the keyboard or any other key? If you say yes the your Bluetooth problems and it is different one a M1 or m2 to an intel to reset Bluetooth!

I found the Magic keyboard to be totally unsatisfactory. I am very picky about keyboards. Its constant loss of pairing with my Studio was beyond irritating. Save yourself some money and purchase a Keychron. There are numerous choices all much cheaper the the Magic Keyboard. The sweet thing about the Keychron is it is completely customisable and therefore repairable. With its hot swappable switches you have dozens of different switches each with a different feel. I am zeroing in on the Gateron Green switch which is reported to have much of the feel of the old IBM Type M.
