I just got the magic keyboard with touch ID, I have a 2012 Mac mini, I understand that the Touch ID needs a M1 computer, that is not the problem, I cannot find any way to see the charge/battery level indicator and there are no options in the keyboard preferences to display it. Any idea ? Someone mentioned that installing Big Sur solved the problem.

or click on System Preferences then Keyboard to see percentage charge. Slow to to discharge, not like the iPhone or watch. Bottom of Keyboard dialog screen:

I’m guessing this could be linked to the keyboard not technically being supported. It may have a different identifier to the standard wireless keyboard that’s not included in Catalina.
