I got a new magic mouse2 and like it overall, but I am coming from a wireless keyboard w/ a wireless trackpad in a henge dock. It seems like I can go from the bottom of the screen to the top with the trackpad, but with the magic mouse I have to pick it up and reposition it to do the same thing.

I have been using the mouse to go side to side and right click, but whenever I go up and down I use the track pad.

It's crazy, am I missing a mouse setting somewhere?

I am using a mac mini with a thunderbolt monitor.

That is pretty crazy. Why would you use two input devices at the same time? The Magic Mouse works like mice have always worked. There is no mapping to the screen. It's perfectly normal to pick up and move a mouse. If you want faster movement, adjust the tracking speed as hfg said.
