Do the gestures work on the Magic Mouse 2 when using it on the iPad Pro? I have the Magic Keyboard and love the touchpad but I am contemplating getting a Bluetooth mouse to use when I am at my desk with my iPad Pro. Thanks.

That’s a great question. I’m taking receipt of a Magic Mouse 2 tomorrow. I’m hoping that at least some of the gestures work?

I have the Magic Mouse 2 - Its good for precision, but has limited gesture support. You can scorll with it; you can use your fingers to swipe back and forward on websites; also you can use it to right click and get contextual menus, but it misses all the others gestures you get by virtue of using the Magic Trackpad 2 or the New Magic Keyboard / trackpad.

Also You can‘t pinch to zoom. However its nice to use alongside the Magic Keyboard case, as you get the both of best worlds - a mouse and a trackpad :)

I was using the Magic Trackpad 2 for my iPad Pro, its originally for my iMac. But I wanted something different connected to the iPP. I found out that the Magic Mouse 2 works pretty well.

Now, gestures really don’t work. However, scrolling it’s buttery smooth similar to that of the Magic Trackpad 2. So, I’m alright with it.

I just bought a trackpad today in anticipation of the MK getting here Friday. I was torn between the mouse and the trackpad but went with the pad due to the added gestures. Figured if I’m used to using them all the time then when I do go away from my desk with the MK it still feels familiar. Been using it about an hour and while I feel fatigue in my wrist I’m pretty sure it is due to the fact I’m not at a proper desk. That is my next purchase for my shop.
