Only had it for a couple days, but it's definitely not as smooth or precise or accurate as the trackpad.

Is this a surface thing a sensor thing or a bluetooth thing or a me thing?

Thanks!

The only issue I have with it is the size, bit on the small side. Having said that I have never used the trackpad so it may well be worlds apart.

It definitely does not fit my hand the way the last mouse I used did:

I know I’ve seen these available:

But yeah, the trackpad feels on point. The mouse feels much much less responsive and smooth compared to the trackpad. I wonder if it could be a mouse pad issue. Might have to order one just in case. That said, I really liked the MM because it’s small and takes up less space. It’s easy to put in a bag too.

I have the old pro keyboard and mouse, wired and wireless keyboards, Magic Mouse 1 & 2, Mighty Mouse, Magic Trackpad (got that one free).

MM2 is my absolute least favorite. My hand cramps just thinking about it.

Using it now I actually think it is not the surface area that is the issue but the height. Might need to get the track pad, the only reason I use the MM2 is so I can get gestures.

I want to like the MM2 due to it being the only mouse that supports gestures natively, but you're right, it's just too low and too narrow. My other beefs are:

1. Most left clicks on links move the screen a little due to the scrolling...sometimes I end up clicking nothing or have trouble selecting drop down boxes.
2. My finger catches on the material used up top, it's never always smooth like the trackpad. I wish they would have used that surface instead.
3. In order to right click, I must lift my left finger. This is stupid.
4. Sensitivity limits far too low for me. Magicprefs fixed this a little, but it still feels off.

I don't know where to go next. I might end up with the Logitech MX 2S next to see how that works.

It's both for me. Also the surface material causing my finger to stick @ the top part of the mouse when scrolling irritates me.

I know that so I'm here love it but to me the Magic Mouse is hot garbage
It totally is. I gave up. Too narrow, too low, too “grippy” when scrolling, too imprecise...trash. I ended up with a $10 insignia USB adapter with an old Logitech notebook mouse...SO MUCH BETTER, lol! So here’s my shopping list:
