Magic Mouse and Gestures

HI everyone,
I am having some strange issues after upgrading to lion. I double tap ( not click) to launch Mission control and it does nothing. I can use my trackpad on my laptop just fine.

I have read on apple forums to delete the mouse plist file.. that did not work either.

anyone else with this issue that might have resolved it ?

Have you tried Mouse in System Preferences? Under the More Gestures tab make sure Mission Control is checked.

Another thing is that I know on my Magic Mouse that gesture can be a little finicky.

yeah I checked that and I have it checked. I even unchecked it, shutdown, restart, check it again, and then par the mouse.

nothing... I can double tap in safari and it does do the zoom so I know the mouse works ( somewhat)

Are you doing a two finger double tap?

yes, Double tap and not double click. what is weird is if I am in Safari I can do the double tap with one finger and it zooms in. but double tap with two fingers does not seem to register with the mouse.
