magic mouse cannot wake up the computer

i use a kensington usb bluetooth adapter to the belkin usb hub to use my magic mouse on the macpro desktop...in the bluetooth options for the mouse, the waking up the computer option is greyed out...

is there any way to wake up using the mouse or do i have to wake up using the power button on the tower itself?

What happens if you connect the adapter directly to the computer? There is a possibility however that only Bluetooth devices paired to the computer's optional Bluetooth/WiFi card will be allowed to wake the system.

nope...doesn't work...the option is stil greyed out!....man!

samething with the wireless bluetooth keyboard too....both greyed out!

Are you in Leopard or SnowLeopard, the settings are in different locations.

In Leopard : System Preferences -> Mouse -> Bluetooth -> Check, Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer

In SnowLeopard : System Preferences -> Bluetooth -> Advanced -> Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer
(now verified that this is right)

Remember you also have to make sure the mouse wakes up too. I have a Logitech bluetooth mouse that likes to go to sleep, thus it has to wake up first.
