Hey, I Want to Purchase the Magic Mouse and I have an Apple Gift Card
That I Was Told Cannot Be Used Online, Only at The Apple Store; Therefore, I Would Have to go to The Apple Store to Purchase One to Use my Card and Save Some Money.

My Question is When Will the Magic Mouse be Available
in the Apple Store? [More Specifically Canadian Apple Stores]

I am guessing availability in stores in similar to purchasing online. In which case, it will be the end Of October. I ordered online and it is set to be delivered between Oct 28th and Nov 3rd.

I have called all the stores in the Chicagoland area and they are telling me next week.

I was in a Apple store today and they don't have them. The new iMac have a special driver installed which won't be available until the next OS update. I don't expect they would put them on the shelves even if they had them in stock until that comes out.

To the best of my knowledge, these are shipping the end of October, I believe the distributor for the store I work for is showing Nov 4 as the ship date.

I went to the store this morning to test one out before I buy and they still do not have them in stock. The employee I talked to seemed to almost trip over her words when I asked when they will be in stock. She made it sound like they had some in stock but are not allowed to put them out yet until the software update is available. Either way, they won't be on the shelves until sometime this next week at the earliest. I don't understand why they can't say when.

I had a similar experience. The employee we asked said they did, and when he came back to ring us up he said they didn't yet. He seemed so sure before he walked away...

I believe they'll start hitting the retail stores (and shipping out) by the end of next week. The online store has a 3-5 day wait, and typically Apple stocks their stores first right before filling online orders.

Of course, you can also buy a new iMac, which includes one. That's what I did!

He didn't. He was trying to see if they'd sell him one for a computer that already had the "software update."

However I'm an Apple channel partner and we haven't been told anything to the effect of needing a software update, just that these are not shipping to any Apple sales channels, corporate or otherwise, until oct 31-nov 4.
