I have a 27" iMac, and i have a 26" samsung LCD im using for the external monitor, and i have it hooked up with a mini display to DVI, and a DVI to HDMI to the TV. the problem is when the TV is off, the mouse is super jumpy, when its moved. It jumps all over the screen, even if i have no need for the monitor to be on, i still turn it on just to be able to use the mouse. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a way to resolve it with out having to unplug the mini display port?

wow, yes, didnt realize it was because my other monitor was off but when i turned it on my mouse worked fine, did you find a fix?

no i haven't been able to find any solution to it. lately i've just been unplugging the external monitor from my imac, and plugging it back in when i wanna use it. kinda of a hassle, but better than my mouse jumping down in the hot corners and going to sleep or screen saver every 2 seconds.
