Ok so just recently ive been having this weird problem with my magic mouse.
Everytime i hold down the left side of the mouse to drag a window or a file for example, it doesnt seem to actually 'hold on', and instead the cursor just carries on moving around as normal. Occasionally it will 'hold on' for a split second or two, but then lets go and drops the window/file etc i am trying to move, even while i still have the left side of the mouse pressed down.

Anybody have any ideas what this could be?
The mouse is only a few weeks old and ive checked for dirt on the sensor, but it all appears to be clean

Hope that all makes sense
Thanks.

You went into the system preferences and everything is ok? I would make an appointment with the genius bar or just hop into one (or a reseller). I am sure it is some setting.

Yeah ive had a look into the settings a few times and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.
It's strange because everything else such as navigating through folders and menus, clicking icons, browsing the internet (clicking links etc) is all fine.
Im not even having problems highlighting text or groups of folders etc, which is strange because this requires the same command as dragging and moving a window.

Just out of curiosity, do you have "right-click" enabled? I do and can drag windows and such without problems.

Yes i do have the right click option enabled.
However, since i posted this thread last night, the problem seems to have gone away. Not sure if it was a temporary system glitch or something?
Fingers crossed it wont happen again, as it was seriously frustrating!

Thanks for the responses anyway guys, much appreciated.
