Magic Mouse not scrolling or swiping even with OSX 10.6.3 ? I have an intel iMac with OSX 10.6.3 installed and when I replaced my mighty mouse with a new magic mouse, I only got basic functionality. When I tried to install the Wireless Software Update, the system told me I had a newer version already installed. I since learned that the software update was for previous OSX versions and that my version had the necessary software update included. So why does my Magic Mouse not scroll or swipe and why does my preference window not show the added functionality that I bought this mouse for?

Have you checked in System Pref > Mouse to verify your settings? Google a software called, "MagicPrefs" to have more control of your Magic Mouse.

Or use BetterTouchTool for your Magic Mouse.

From just a forum on the internet (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/838613/), I can tell that people like BetterTouchTool (aka BTT) more. It also brings your MacBook (Pro)'s Trackpad configuration to the next level.

got the same problème,
i have my magic mouse for 2 day and only have the basic fonction.
no scrolling, pinching or anything else.
i dont have the special mouse preference panel, only got the one with basic option.

i instal magicpref , BetterTouchTool but dont work.
i still dont have any advance option.

got a white 2007 macbook with 10.6.3 and every update possible

i don't know what to do to have those option
