Hi - I recently purchased a Magic Mouse and I'm having a lot of trouble trying to get my hand adjusted to it ergonomically. I find it a huge pain that I can't do vertical scrolling unless I take my right finger off the mouse... is there a way I can leave my right (i.e. middle) finger on the mouse, while being able to scroll down with my left (index) finger at the same time? Thanks!

you should be able to do it .... m using jitouch but I don't think i've modified anything about scrolling and it's working like you mentioned (right finger on the mouse while scrolling with my index)

I just tried this as well and I can seem to scroll with index finger while middle finger resting, opposite, and 2 fingers at the same time. I have Better Touch Tool installed but I disabled it for the test (I'm not sure it's useful anyway). I also don't think I have modified any other default settings except for the crappy natural scrolling.

Maybe I'm missing something...

That's really strange... maybe I should try out some of the Magic Mouses at the local Apple Store to see if any of them have this problem. I keep both my index and middle fingers on the mouse, whenever I have my middle finger on the mouse, I can't scroll up or down with my index finger... I have to take the middle finger off in order to scroll up or down (i.e. only one finger can touch the mouse at a time).

Hey guys, sorry - I actually just realized that BetterTouchTools was screwing up that part of my mouse for some reason. I disabled BTT and it got fixed - I was able to scroll with both fingers on the mouse at the same time.

Does anyone know why BTT messes this up for some reason?
