Hi guys.
I come to you to ask for help on a little problem. I have the Magic Mouse, and due to personal preferences, the clicking noise just completely gets on my nerves. To add to that, I believe that tapping is a lot more efficient than clicking sometimes.
With BetterTouchTool, I've added to gesture to tap to click for both leftclicks and rightclicks. However I know that many of us don't keep only 1 finger on the mouse. We usually have our index finger and middle finger both on the mouse, and starting at the ring finger, they're off-mouse, with the thumb also resting off-mouse on the opposite side, am I correct? (Usually)
With BTT's tap to click, the middle finger can't be on the mouse. If there's another finger already resting on the mouse, the tap of the index finger won't register. So I ask, is there any way to disable this? I know there was a preference in BTT to disable the need to lift both fingers before 2-finger clicking; this would allow you to keep both fingers on the mouse and click, instead of raising both fingers. However, nothing that relates to tapping, as far as I can see.
My only temporary solution to this is to either keep my middle finger always in the air (tiring, right?
), but nowadays I keep my middle finger off-mouse, with only my index finger on the mouse to tap. This way, only one finger would be registered, and my resting middle finger won't "block" the tap. Nonetheless, it does feel a bit awkward, seeing as how pretty much all mouses in the market right now let you rest your index and middle finger on the mouse. Suddenly changing to resting only your index finger is pretty weird.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.
Edit: Oh, and on another note. Seeing as how our fingers/palms are the only one touching the face of the mouse... how the hell does it scratch? Wow.
