Hi Forum,

I was wondering what you guys use with your imacs: Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad?

Appreciate if you can also after voting the poll can give a little back ground explaining your preferences and your use.

Thanks and Regards

While I don't have an iMac I do prefer the Magic Mouse. I hate using the trackpad on my MPB, and I've played with the Magic Trackpad at apple stores and its not for me. I like the Magic Mouse over any sort of trackpad.

I tried both Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad with my iMac and MBP and I simply reverted back to an actual wired mouse with four/five buttons, as they are simpler to use for my means and not as uncomfortable as an MM or MT for me, as I have probably big hands.

Both. I use the trackpad for general navigation and surfing since I'm so used to the trackpad on my MacBook Air. I use the mouse for photo editing. It's much more accurate than the trackpad for brush work, etc.

For macbook i don't need magic trackpad because the macbooks already have this trackpad, so if necessary i use a magic mouse. For imac, surface the web, or something simpler i use trackpad, if i work or right, or game i use magic mouse

Thanks for the reply so far, I have a MBP and a wired mouse that I pop out of the drawer really occasionally so often I do photo post production work with the trackpad and I can't make up my mind on what could be my best option for the Imac.

Maybe I should get the trackpad and keep on using occasionally the wired mouse but at the same time with a wireless mouse I might not feel the need of a trackpad. Let me read your opinion and see..

Trackpad only. It took a few weeks to get used to it, but I can never go back. Once Apple added all the gestures in Lion it was game over. Combined with BetterTouchTool, there is simply no better input device than the Magic Trackpad (for the average consumer; I realize certain professionals need mice).
