Magic Track Pad Setup?

Hey guy I got a magic track pad for Christmas and am just now attempting to setup it up with my iMac 27.

After it's paired, the setting under track pad preferences do not change anything. No multi-finger gestures work or tap to click. Changing the scrolling speed doesn't work either, only when it's changed under the mouse preference options does the scrolling speed change, but only that.

I am using a Logitech MX revolution mouse with the trackpad just to let you know. If anyone knows why the preferences won't work for my trackpad I would love to know.

Oddly, the problem was solved. I had deleted some old user accounts and restarted and what do you know? It works now!

My hunch is deleting the old user accounts did nothing, but the restart probably did the trick.. weird..

Side note, I'm not use to OS X needed restarts like this, it was much more common on Windows.
