I bought a Magic Trackpad a few days ago to use with my 15" 2016 tbMBP.

It is connected via bluetooth. When I use it actively it's completely smooth, but if I let it be for a few seconds there is sometimes a 1-2 second delay from the point where my finger touches the pad till the cursor reacts.
Sometimes it works perfectly, and other times it lags, it's completely random.

When connected via the lightning --> usb cable, there is no lag or delay what so ever. The trackpad is merely half a meter away from the Mac, so signal shouldn't be a problem. The trackpad is also fully charged.

I've read a few threads on this, but they were all a bit old, and there didn't seem to be a conclusion anywhere.

Do you guys think its defect? Or is it a problem I could solve somehow?

I could always just use it with the cable, but it should work over bluetooth as well, and after paying that much, id like for it to work flawlessly.

Thanks!
