Look further down where it shows the back side of it. Interesting. I wonder if someone could get in trouble if Apple traced the number.

The seller looks legit with his rating... it's a used MT. What makes u assume it's a prototype?

It says "Apple Development Team" on the back. Probably just means it was used on a computer at Apple, though, not that it's a prototype.
