Hey all,

I was wondering if y'all had any opinion of the risk of carrying a MBP with a standard HDD in a bag with magnet enclosures. They're not super powerful or anything, just a couple magnets on the front flap to keep it fastened, as well as a magnet on the external pouch on the back (at the top of it, near the center) to keep the pouch closed against the bag. The laptop would sit at the back of the bag (it looks like it's actually made with a laptop compartment).

The brand is Fossil (not computer people, just a bag that looks like it's got a slot for a laptop).

What do you think?

There's nothing to worry about. It would take much more powerful magnets to create problems with your Mac.

Check out the season opener of Breaking Bad to see what kind of magnet is necessary to brick a laptop
