Just a heads up, it doesn't consistenly charge at 15w. I had no idea until a fellow forum member pointed me to a link, and a further deep dive into the manner online backed this up. I wouldn't put too much value into MagSafe speeds.Has anyone found any third party adapter that will charge via MagSafe at full 15 watt speed? It appears many do not.
The MagSafe Charger is designed to negotiate the max power up to 9 volt (V) and 3 amp (A) with a USB PD-compatible power adapter. MagSafe will dynamically optimize power delivered to the iPhone. The power delivered to the iPhone 12 at any moment will vary depending on various factors, including temperature and system activity.
Same here. As the phone heat up MagSafe pulls watts.I have a single MagSafe charger attached to an Apple USB-C brick and I can usually see only 6.33 W.
But who knows. Maybe it is the app (Ampere) that is wrong.
It is certainly better than my older wireless chargers but not better enough to buy any more of them.
