I basically want something like the apple charging puck but with an usb c port on both the charger itself and on the other side that connects to the power brick, the apple "puck" does not have a detachable cable , so if the cable breaks then I'd need to replace the whole thing.

Here's one but it's not a Puck style. I dont think you will see it since puck style assumes alot of movement with it charging can occur and a plug can easily dislodge and get more easily damaged.

But really, I see the price just going down as time goes on and as more knock offs are produced that work well. These things will just be disposable if you abuse them that much anyways.

That is exactly why I'd like to have a detachable cable, there will be a lot of bending involved with a puck type of charger, but I still want it since it doesn't take a lot of space and I'm planning to take it with me as a regular charger in my bag.

Sounds good in theory - but I bet no one wants to manufacture it like that and take on replacement overhead. A plug will damage faster (when in use) more than a fixed cord.
