Here
I thought this was just me, but one of the first things I noticed on my 2013 MacBook Pro is that the MagSafe connector is impossible to remove.

I thought the point of the magnetic connector was so that if someone tripped on the cord, your computer wouldn't follow, but I have to use extreme force to pull the max safe out of the connector. And if I pull the cord the entire computer pulls with it.

Is this normal? Does it matter?

----------

I have never felt more stupid.

I did to Google searches before I posted this thread in the Apple documentation never showed up. I didn't realize you had to tilted in another direction. The old MagSafe adapter just pulled out.

Sorry for this thread.

its normal but if you want an advice its better to do first pull it up it automatically remove itself

I'd go to a place that sells MBP's and check the display models so you can get an idea if they are all like yours.

Thanks for the replies. It's much easier now.

To me though, it isn't readily apparent to pull upward, oh well.

It should be easier to remove if you pull it up or push it down vs. trying to pull it straight out.

Mine has worked and saved my computer a couple times.
