My MagSafe Adapter just stopped work after I unpacked my MBP from vacation. It seems to works if you hold the magnet end just right like it has a short or the plug on the MBP is not working properly. My MBP will be a year old on April 13th, will the warranty cover this? I use my MBP for work on Tues/Weds, would it be covered and replaced by then?

If it's still under warranty I'd take it back for an exchange.

You could have a loose wire. If so, that's how fires happen.

If you can get into and Apple Store and it is covered they'll probably just replace it with a new one right in the store.

Dunno about an temporary fixes.

If you're under a year, you should be covered. Did you buy applecare? If so, then you're definitely covered.

Don't be thinking temporary. This is dangerous. Go to your applestore.

I agree, in my experience they will often cover power adaptors even out of warranty, simply because it's dangerous not to.
