I had this same idea as well, but the dock itself does not support Fast Charging, so it will max out at the slower (5W I believe?) speed… Might be fine for charging the battery by itself, but I dont think MagSafe charging your iPhone will be optimized.

Not 100% sure since I haven’t done any tests, but it seems like the flow is:

dock->battery->phone

Since the battery is technically charging the phone, I don’t see why the dock’s speed would have any impact. If anything, the battery would just get drained faster than it’s recharging? Just a hypothesis.
