Interesting to note the iPhone Air battery pack is exactly the same capacity as the internal one. This probably makes manufacturing a lot easier.

Based on the extended battery life numbers, the total efficiency is about 50-60%. This means about 40-50% energy is wasted during voltage conversion and wireless transfer.
