Mid 2010 white Macbook, internal battery. The magsafe cable started getting hot and then one day fell apart. I couldn't afford a new one for a couple of months and bought one the other day, but now the battery won't charge so I'm working entirely on AC power.

I tried PRAM and SMC but no luck. Battery info says 136 cycles and normal condition. Is an expensive trip to the store now due?

I restarted and did another PRAM and it works now, but now there seems to be something wrong with internet connectivity. It can hardly find connection and is taking MINUTES to load simple websites, as opposed to my iBook G4 from 2005 which is still working like a dream. It's very frustrating to be spending most of my time on my 2010 Macbook fixiing things that really should be working.
