Hi everyone,

I currently do not have a battery in my macbook, so I have been using my friend's magsafe charger. I left it plugged in overnight last night and now the charger isn't working. I tried plugging it into different outlets and switching it between our computers, but nothing. The light doesn't turn on and my computer won't turn on.

Did I kill her charger?

It sounds like the charger is dead, but that doesn't mean you killed it. There's nothing wrong with leaving it plugged in overnight, or for a week. I do recommend you get a battery for your macbook, as it's not recommended to run on AC power without the battery. It will slow your processor.

This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

Thanks so much for the link. My battery is actually coming in today and a charger is coming tomorrow!

Thankfully her laptop is still under AppleCare, so she sent it out to be replaced.
