MagSafe chargers garbage?

i have 2 MagSafe 2 chargers and a soon to be for sale 2012 rMBP replaced by the 2016 15" MBP. Are they now garbage, because of the new USB-C ports? I looked to see if there were any good adapters and found nothing notable.

You could sell them. Mine broke in may and I had to pay $65 at an Apple Store for a replacement. (2012 MBA)

Why would they be garbage? Is the computer that you used to use them with also garbage now?

If you're buying a new rMBP w/Touchbar and selling your old Mac, include the extra MagSafe chargers to sweeten the deal.

I should have clarified replacing my 2012 with 2016. Good point on packaging with my 2012 for sale. I wish I could actually use them instead.
