why is this better than plugging it in? especially if you have a 20W? seems like you couldn't use the phone while charging on a MagSafe. Easier to hold and use if its physically plugged in.

I like the idea in general... probably have to tape the charger to a table so you can pick the phone up without taking the charger with it...

This is what I’m wondering. I have a 5w wireless charger on my bedside table which is really convenient but I do have to take a few moments to make sure it’s lined up - a few times I’ve woken up without it charged

so MagSafe for aligning sounds great, but I don’t want the charger jumping off the table as I put the phone down, or me pulling the charger off the table each morning.

was hoping for some hands on impressions - surprised Apple didn’t send any out to influencers

The Belkin MagSafe charger might be the nightstand charging I've been looking for... I can never get past paying $300 for a pair of charging stations though... can't get this for myself and leave my wife charging like a pauper on her nightstand... 😅

I wonder why they didn't release the folding magsafe charger that includes a spot to charge the watch too... but I can't imagine the price of it... knowing that it cost $150 for the belkin one...

Lol should have ordered they’re out to nov 3rd already

no regrets. this is going to be a mistake and I hope apple doesn't do away with ports forever. I've used flat chargers for a while and they are terrible. Maybe the magnet helps but there's the downside of picking up phone while charging being awkward.

I don’t think it’s a mistake, that’s a little harsh. But I think the appeal will be limited. Why bother? It saves no time and requires an extra cable.

ive Had a wireless charger for years (started back with a Nokia 920) and I like the convenience of just dropping it down to charge, but it sometimes misses the right spot - that’s what MagSafe should resolve
