Presently, I have three Mac laptops:

1. a Mid 2012 15" MacBook Pro (non-retina)

2. a Mid 2011 13" MacBook Air

3. a Mid 2010 17" MacBook Pro

On the 13" Air and the 17" Pro, I leave the machines hooked to the charger for most of the day (when they're not being used). Bad practice for battery usage, I know. Either way, the chargers for both (I'm good and I use the 85-watt MagSafe for the 17" and a 45-watt MagSafe for the Air) are always plugged into the wall, even if the respective machine isn't.

Over time, I've noticed that the charging indicator lights don't light up all the time like they used to. It's somewhat intermittent; sometimes it'll light up and other times it won't. Doesn't matter if the laptop is already at full charge or if it is actually charging.

This said, I baby the hell out of the 15" MacBook Pro and its 85 Watt MagSafe adapter and I am very careful with how I drain and charge that machine's battery. Incidentally, I do not have this issue with this machine nor with its adapter.

Any ideas as to what's going on?
