I guess it had to happen eventually. It took 13 months until I finally walked into the charging cable of my M1 Macbook Air, sending it down on the tiled floor. I died inside as many times as I could fit into the 4 seconds it took me to pick up my beloved baby. Other than a dent in the corner (both top and bottom) all is fine.

I'm not a giant fan of the M2 Air, based on reviews and photos, but oh boy, do I wish I had Magsafe on the M1 Air.

M2 is greatly improve version of the M1
I agree, the click bait craze definitely hurt some initial impressions people have of these. It’s a shame because once you sift through the bs, it’s actually a pretty impressive machine and a very nice overall update. I’m glad I actually went down in person to see it for myself. First time ever that i Was impressed enough to actually go out and buy my first ever Mac.

I got one of these for my M1 Air, and - even thought the magnet is weaker than Apple's magsafe of old - I'm very happy with it. :)
