Noticed an interesting phenomena this morning wondering if anyone has come across this before or if it is lion's normal sleep function.

When the notebook is in sleep mode, if I connect the magsafe, then disconnect it the fan will briefly rev up then shut off again
I've tested this in varying ways eg going to sleep when magsafe is in then disconnecting after a period of time, sleep without magsafe then connecting and disconnecting. The fan will rev up as a result of magsafe disconnection even after it has been asleep for a period of time.

Apologies for lack of clarity I'm on my phone

Thanks for the input. Maybe I should clarify. What is the utility of the fan revving up as a response to magsafe disconnect after it's already been in sleep?

For reference, I've got an MBA13 2011, safe sleep and hibernation disabled.

It's normal. There's nothing to worry about.
