Whenever I plug my MagSafe connector into my Mac it acts as if nothing happens. I have to get the male end of the connector damp before it will work. Apple just replaced the charger part of my MagSafe, so it has to be in the computer.
I would prefer to avoid another trip to the genius bar, so is there anything which I can do to troubleshoot the issue before having to go back?

How long have you had your computer for? With all the problems you've listed on this forum, I would try to call CSR and ask for another computer especially if you had the computer for less than 6 months.

I've had it for a year and 3 months. The genius told me that my last graphics issue was actually a software issue related to 10.6.4 so this might be my only hardware problem.

i thought apple was supposed to have the best chargers around:D

anyway i would i would take it back to the store

Here's a photo of the MagSafe.

It's not the plug.
TheY just replaced that for another issue, and both had this problem.

I think that what happens when you're getting the MagSafe damp, is the water is allowing the electricity to be conducted from the MagSafe connector to the port. If the pins aren't stuck and if the port isn't dirty then the only other thing I can think of is that the port itself is damaged.
