So in using the new MBP there is one thing about MagSafe that I forgot about, and it was a feature I loved - the LED indicator. IMO this is biggest feature of MagSafe. My laptop can be sitting on my desk, and at a glance I can know that it is fully charged. In my first MacBook (First plastic intel MacBook in 2006) we had MagSafe and the button to see battery life, and it was incredible coming from crappy windows laptops.

While I do love my USB-C/TB4 docking and getting monitor/keyboard/mouse/webcam/storage/etc. free, having MagSafe back for charging on a side table is quite nice. The charging indicator is truly a killer feature, if only because you can know for sure that the machine has power flowing to it, something I've missed over the past 4 years of TB3 only MacBooks.

I don't understand why they don't have such an indicator on the non-MagSafe laptops. They could put it on the AC adapter, USB-C plug, or even on the computer itself.
